Dripback Containers - UPI Manufacturing

Working with contractors, homeowners and distributors, UPI Manufacturing developed a Patent Pending container that gives manufactures an innovative delivery system for solvent welding products, paint, varnish, contact cement and other products that use an applicator to apply the product. Safety: solvent welding products, paint, varnish, contact cement and other products, as recommended by all manufacturers and labels, should not come into contact with the skin. The current containers available make this difficult because there is not a good way to wipe excess material. When removing the applicator, there is almost always dripping. Dripback Containers allow the user to wipe the excess material from the applicator without removing it from the inside of the container. Having flammable material on the outside of the container creates a fire concern during use and storage as the flammable liquids are accessible to ignitable sources like smoking, water heaters and other electrical and gas powered equipment

Environment: Many of the uses of the above mentioned products take place outside. Without a proper way to select the amount of material on the applicator, the excess material is dripped on the ground potentially contaminating the soil and ground water. VOC's (volatile organic compounds) are also a concern when using solvent welding products. Although VOC's are more harmful in a liquid form and are diminished during application, dripped material on the ground and container can release higher amounts of VOC’s. Dripback containers reduce VOC emission by containing drips and spills on the container, ground and work area.

Consumer Savings: Dripback containers allow the consumer a platform to adjust the amount of product on the applicator without removing the applicator from the container. Less spillage and dripping saves the consumer money and product.
